Nurture. Inspire. Fulfill.

Ever since I taught my very first piano student at the age of sixteen, I knew teaching would become my lifelong passion. My love for music and teaching has motivated me to complete my doctoral degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy. Over the years, I had the privilege of working with students of various ages, levels, and ethnic backgrounds. I am deeply grateful for the opportunities to make some impact on my students’ lives. Seeing them grow and thrive has brought me great joy and fulfillment!

My goal is not only to teach my students to play piano, but also to nurture, inspire, and enrich their lives with music. I am committed to helping my students reach their full musical potential and realize their musical dreams.

In my piano studio, I tailor my instructions to each student’s needs. For young beginners, I focus on developing healthy piano playing habits, building solid foundational skills in sight-reading, rhythm, ear training, music theory, and most importantly, fostering their love for music. Instilling love for music in a young mind is like planting a seed in the soil. With constant care and nourishment, it will bloom and flourish over time.

For intermediate to advanced students, in addition to continue improving their technique and expanding their repertoire, I emphasize on the artistic expressions in their playings. Through detailed analyses and demonstrations, I strive to help my students establish a deeper understanding of various musical styles and composers.

My instructions also go beyond teaching pieces. I provide consultations and mentorship to students who want to study music in college. It takes time and thoughtful planning to build a strong music portfolio. I am more than happy to guide my students through the process and help them get ready for auditions, competitions, and recitals.

Learning piano takes tremendous dedication, discipline, and resilience. I hope through our musical journey together, my students will develop not only a lifelong love for piano playing and Classical Music, but also a strong work ethic that will serve them well in their future endeavors.
